Say you recently purchased a new LCD or Plasma TV set. You could spend another 300 dollars for a nifty looking television stand or you could spend less by mounting your television on the wall.
Mounting your television is not as complicated as some would think.
Step one: Make sure you have wood studs, brick wall, or even metal studs to mount to. You could also use toggle bolts to attach to plain drywall but this can be risky.
Step two: Find a mounting kit that will hold your television size and weight.
Step three: Determine where you would like to mount your television and be sure to have an electrical outlet relocated to provide the television with power and also fish any lines needed (component, HDMI, Coaxial) for your devices.
Step four: Attach your wall mount kit with multiple screws, bolts, or toggle bolts.
Step five: Attach the brackets for the television to the back of your television set.
Step six: Hang your television on the wall and connect all the cables.
This is a basic rundown and in the future I hope to post a video tutorial for you.
